Stoppit! you'll make me blush!

Where was I, oh yes.....

Regarding the sms issue, have you got the handset configured to overwrite old messages? If not that's what the problem is. If all else fails you may need to go down the hard reset route

here's the thing: handset was checked to delete old messages when full. I put a few apps on(18) wich gave a(Red icon) message phone memory getting low( i cant understand why android cant sort memory partitions to allow more apps?) then my messages stopped with (white icon)message memory full .
I called o2 they said its a prob with sim card and sending new one .
Today i removed some of the apps which i had installed and lo and behold started reciving texts (still got the old sim card in) so basically the android system seems to store stuff all over the place GOOGLE SORT IT OUT if a phone stops delivering information it becomes obsolete!

The SIM stores the message headers, which is why if its full they fail to get delivered. However, this is a new one on me, ill look into it for you.

Not that its entirely relevant to this thread, but the official Gingerbread upgrade for the Galaxy S has today been released via KIES within the UK.

This, to me, means that the promised official FroYo update for the Apollo cant be too far off.....
