Another update on the FroYo saga.....
I have been involved in a video conference this morning between the worldwide service managers and Samsung HQ in Korea. It gave me the opportunity to air the views expressed not just by this forum but by UK customers in general about the total lack of satisfactory customer support given by Samsung themselves and the lack of satisfactory info given to engineers like me with regard to updates.
They basically revised their upgrade notification policy some months ago without telling anyone - they now do not issue upgrade bulletins but merely slip the upgrade onto their main system without telling anyone. There were quite a few unhappy managers comments made about this statement ( me included - im not known for keeping my mouth shut!) The main point I made to them was " So you expect engineers to search through literally thousands of patches on your servers every morning to see if there are any new ones, do you realise the man-hours this will cost just because Samsung cant be arsed to do their job properly and give engineers some backup?". (At this point 4 managers asked their translators what "arsed" meant - one of the replies was pretty rude!) Their answer was a blunt "Yes".
In short, FroYo is still on the cards but as to when is a different matter.

I'm not sure where the people on the other forum got it from but I dont think it was KIES. Ive asked on there for their version numbers but have yet to receive a reply.
