I would compare, but I can not open the file, with any programme that makes sense of the info.

had a look with hex editor with my original file, compared everything, as well as the hex locations mentioned in that forum, but it just did not add up ;(...your better off asking someone on there too edit it mate, i think the locations etc they put down are wrong, but wot do i know?

HELP!
I think I messed this up as my scroll now wont start up, it shows the scroll logo and the welcome text then I get a blank screen? How do I get it working, I did a clockworkmod backup but now dont know how to restore using that backup?

I haven't had to do it yet, but I presume it's:

Boot into recovery by holding the power button and volume up
Select 'backup and restore'
Select 'Restore'

Cwm seems to have uninstalled itself as on booting holding vol up I get the stock recovery menu.
Any way to replace the file changed seeing that I can't see my scroll on my pc (no way to mount nand)

Actually just thought all I need is a 1.01 firmware (lol got a job finding that)

try this temporary method, rename to update.zip and bang it on your sd card.

then run stock recovery and run update.zip through it, it should bring up clockworkmod, now run the restore through it.

The Mali driver is open Source... Now does anyone know what GCC and is used to compile on the Telechips ARM?

Fixed my Scroll ran the update.zip file I had on my sd card through the recovery menu.
now has 1.02 FW installed
Still has problems with graphics in games as not applied this mod (too frightened something will go wrong again)
