It may be coincidence, but I notice that the 2 of us who have skype working properly are on:
firmware v1.02 . baseband v1.02 . kernel v2.6.29 . Android 2.1

I've just got the 2,3 and Skype loaded from the Android Marketplace, allowed me to register and then each time I trie dto log in crashed back to the apps page (desktop).

I asked skype why and recieved this!
