Hi everyone, I have joined today. I received scroll as a gift and so far it does was it says on the box. However as a "silver surfer" I need help with some aspects of my new toy - How do download Skype, Spotify and BBCiplayer which are all supposed to be available as downloads from Andriod Marketplace. Any help greatly appreciated, ubfortunately I will be of no help to anyone as I only "use" computers and am really unsure about software downloads etc.

Hi

Unfortunately, Skype and BBCiplayer don't work on the Scroll. I haven't tried Spotify. To complicate matters further, the Scroll doesn't officially support the Android Market (but it might be on there if you have an early version). You have to do some reasonably scary hacking to get it working.

Hi MartynG: Welcome to the forum!

Have a read through the forum to find the info you need. the Market fix can be done, but it is a little complex. Have a read through and see what you think - if you need more help please feel free to ask.

I had to remove your number from your post im afraid - you dont really want a load of crank callers! Not that there's many nutters on here, but things called "bots" search for numbers/email addresses across the whole internet which are then able to store them for use by eejits to crank -call or spam email people.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!
