Custom wallpapers are a no-go on 8" scroll

Has anyone found out how to install your own wallpapers from the gallery yet. I think it's a problem with the new 8" scrolls, where you don't get the option to set as wallpaper.
I was hoping someone had come up with a way of doing it, or is the only way it can be done is to downgrade my firmware?

Do you not have it in main screen menu options?

The only options I get from the wallpaper main menu are the wallpapers that came with the scroll or live wallpapers, there is no option for your own photos or downloaded wallpapers and no way to navigate to them.

From a search of this forum it looks as if it a problem with the firmware version that comes with the new 8" scroll.

well that seems pretty retarded as its a standard android feature and they would have had to actively remove it...

It's not good that it should be missing this basic function, especially seeing as it is the newer model, it makes me wonder what else may be missing or not working.
