Quick question, but does your Scroll successfully charge from USB? I've tried charging from my Laptop and while it's plugged in it says it's charging but once unplugged it reverts back to the battery level it was at before I tried to charge it. This little car charger would be great, I just figured it best to check!

Thanks,

Linzi

I find that the USB charger I use in the car, to watch films etc tends to hold the charge in it's position, ie neither charges the scroll or drains it.
So I just ensure its fully charged before I go out, then when I finshed watching it, its still fully charged.
I suppose if I don't use it it would eventually charge, but I can't keep me mitts off it......
Hope this helps

I assumed that just plugging the scroll into usb while it is sleeping would charge it but no - after a whole day plugged into my work PC the battery was as low as it started.

I think the Scroll has to be on, which means that there is probably little spare power to charge the battery. Those usb based battery chargers you get from the pound shop work but they take a LONG time to charge up a battery.

The permitted USB power output is just not that high. Its pretty amazing that something the size of the Scroll can work indefinitely on USB power level. This is what sets it apart from even Atom based netbooks - they need hefty batteries and recharging every few hours

Yep It seems to charge when the Scroll is actually turned on, then after a few minutes Scroll goes into standby mode. Bought the above today from Maplin and seems a good product at price ( have not tested it fully though )
