Charlie is completely correct! I've just done a quick check and the built in browser seems to handle javascript re-directs, alerts and other commands without any issue.
I've just taken a look at lovefilm, especially the previews and I've found the issue you're experiencing :
<script>
document.write('<img src="/images/icons/ajax_load_black.gif" alt="loading" width="10" height="10" border="0"> loading...');
</script>
<noscript>Uh oh! If you'd like to watch our The Other Guys trailer you'll need to make sure that you've got JavaScript enabled first.</noscript>
If you keep seeing "Uh oh! If you'd like to watch our The Other Guys trailer you'll need to make sure that you've got JavaScript enabled first." then you have indeed got javascript disabled.
To enable, press the menu button on your tablet (left hand button) while you're in the browser.
click "More" on the screen.
Click "settings" on the screen
Scroll down
Click on "Enable JavaScript" to tick it.
Press the back arrow (Third key)
Reload the page.
However, the lovefilm site uses a mixture of Javascript, AJAX and Flash, the first two are supported, the latter however is not.
DJ_Steve is currently working on a 2.2 build of Android for the scroll, along with a number of others on this forum, that will have Flash support. Unfortunately 2.1 doesn't have flash support and although there have been a few .apk's floating about which install flash, it only works with flash animations/coding upto flash 6 apparently. These video players are made in flash 9 and above usually, so they won't solve the issue.
Hope this explains the situation for you.
