z4root and universal androot are the standard ones... try universal androot?

I can confirm that z4root 1.3.0 has successfully rooted my scroll, and it only took 2 minutes! Perfect!

Just temp rooted my scroll using z4root (firmware 1.00, kernel version 2.6.29) following aeroalex's last post.

Temporary root at the moment, just restarting scroll to see what happens

Not exactly familar with Android, grew up with DOS and windows

On restart, the SU icon is still present in the application draw (functions as it did before restart), any thoughts regarding this i.e. should the SU icon disappear on hard restart if its a temporary root?

I did a perm root and it works just fine

nothing changed but it has added the super user app!
