Query about HDMI out and Audio

Hi, while playing videos through HDMI cable i get sound coming through the scroll table as well as my sound system. Is there a way of disabling the sound from tablet during HDMI out, so that sound only comes from tv/sound system? (im currently having to plug jack into speaker socket).

p.s im running firmware 1.00 and my access to android market lasted all of 30 mins.

Its teh same here its annoying becasue you cant just turn the scroll volume down and tv vol up easily... Best i could do was lowest volume on scroll (where there is still sound) and tv on like 80 volume lol

What's the output on a tv look like? (not got a cable to try it ) Some screen shots posted would be cool

overscan is bad on my tv but it looks just like the screen does... it mirrors the output.

I loose maybe 1/2cm on each side (1/2cm on the scroll so like 2 cm on the tv)

You can alter the build.prop to change the output Res to remove the over scan

Re picture quality. I've hooked it up to 32inch lcd using same mini hdmi adapter i got with my nokia n8 and picture is excellent. Same, if not better than I get using N8 phone. (plus it plays some videos that the N8 wont). So far I've watched 720p mkv files. Yet to try 1080p.
