calibration

Trying to find out about this app, and google turned this up: http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Ts_calibrate

Do we think it's the same ts calibrate? I'd like to find the setting files where the camibration info is stored... I'll have to hunt through the filesystem to see what looks like a data file.

Edit - Ok, so I've found that there's a file

which looks to be related to the tslib: https://github.com/kergoth/tslib/blob/master/README

This all appears to be related. From what I've read it seems that there should be a file /etc/pointercal which holds the calibration settings, but I cannot locate this on my device. Anybody go it?

I shall play some more once I get home... But at least I can back that file up now. I'll try removing it and see how things default, and maybe manually try editting the values, if I can make any sense of the format that is

Well deleting the pointercal file forces the calibration app to run at startup. The content of my file is as follows:

54 33 745 15 743 415 37 426 394 222 50 50 750 50 750 430 50 430 400 240

My guess is that they're xy pairs. The first set being from the calibration app, and the second are ideal values?

More likely the first set are your touch points and the 2nd being locators for the calibration crosses
