Kids, don't try this at home...

Postby Detection » January 11th, 2011, 1:55 pm

Being the experimental person I am, I decided to have a bit of fun with my Gmail account.

I have it set up to forward all emails to my Live account

So I thought would be funny to add my Live account to the list of accounts in my Gmail, and have it forward all my Live account emails to my Gmail account too. Putting it in a loop of never ending forwarding.

Yup... it worked... and although I have now removed my Live account from Gmail, it has decided to continue forwarding the 6500+ Emails back and forward between my two accounts forever.

It is going to be fun trying to fix this....

i used to work for an internet service provider and the amount of times this happened by mistake is unbelievable --- given enough time it will eventually bring down the mail servers :)
