[ICS] Help with Gamepad/Controller Support

Well ive finally got the allwinner/linux-2.6.36 kernel building (without errors).... I know its a step backwards, but geez what a nightmare
Going to see if i can build the whole rom, then if so, i will try 3.0.8 kernel

Woo hoo! Well done, I'll attempt it right now, maybe if we get it working someone will be brave enough to flash it and we can test if we can get controller support in GB, maybe even support bluetooth adapters as well

Building the module is easy, before you compile it, edit the .config file
There will be a line:

Code: Select all

CONFIG_INPUT_FF_MEMLESS=y

change it to:

Code: Select all

CONFIG_INPUT_FF_MEMLESS=m

and the other line:

Code: Select all

# CONFIG_JOYSTICK_XPAD is not set

to

Code: Select all

CONFIG_JOYSTICK_XPAD=m

Then save it and build as normal, the .ko files will appear in /drivers/input/ff-memless.ko and /drivers/input/joystick/xpad.ko

Nice I've been doing these in a virtual machine and assigning all 8 cores to it (4 physical w/ hyperthreading)

I couldn't get the v2.6.36 kernel in this tutorial to build
