Have you tried talking to SO about why the original update from their website failed and If they have any ideas.

Yeah, e-mailed SO, but no reply. Didn't expect any TBH, as I've read about their "support" elsewhere.

Today's update.
Managed to get CWM installed and booted into recovery. Sent the cyanogen image using android commander, copied successfully, said "rebooting, heard USB disconnect on laptop, then sat with a black screen for 15 minutes while I drank a cup of coffee.
Held power button for about 10 seconds, then released.
Switched on - hung at SO splash screen.
Booted back into recovery, still got CWM recovery.....

Do I need a different cyanogen image for the 8k scroll? fun's server (androtabs) is down, so can't go there for it.

Flashed all the original images now, and when the tablet boots, it boots straight to CWM recovery. This is so frustrating... so close, yes so far away.

You must have patience of a saint.
Now, I have got something here which claims to be the system for your tablet.
I have checked as far as I am able that this is what you need.
I can offer no guarantees and you try it at your own risk.
However, it seems you haven't got much to lose now anyway.
I will host this untill you PM me that you have got it - then I will remove it so I can reclaim the space.

Good luck: edit Link removed.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

flashed the image from Trashcooky, and still won't boot.
Flashed cyanogen again, and now get this little fellow on boot.

Still got CWM recovery. I feel like I'm on the edge of victory now.

I keep trying to find help for you in the big wide interweb - lol.
Ther are many devices out there which have, or are suffering from what you currently describe.
One post claims that when you get the little green android and the exclamation triangle that you are in stock recovery mode but the tablet can't access it. I don't know if this is true or not.
However, many seem to have been resolved (if all the posts are to be believed) by doing this:

Power button + up volume= recovery = red triangle.
red triangle+power button+up volume= other menu
other menu+clear cache=other menu
other menu+reboot system= happy

Can't do any harm in trying it. :)

Sorry, not quite getting all that... Do I need to reboot to do this? Pressing buttons at this screen does nothing.
I get this screen when I reboot after flashing cyanogen. I still have CWM recovery. If I reboot from this screen it goes to the SO splash, then welcome. Just sits at welcome and goes no further.

OK so adrotabs is back up and running, so downloaded the cyanogen 8k zip file.
Tried installing from Android Commander. Said it installed, but boots, gives SO splash screen and stops at Welcome.

Renamed to update.zip and installed from CWM recovery. Said it installed, but boots, gives SO splash screen and stops at Welcome.

Mounted file system partitions and installed from CWM recovery. Said it installed, but boots, gives SO splash screen and stops at Welcome.

Am I doing something wrong? After updating, I go back into Android Commander and the System partition has plenty of files inside, yet the bugger just won't boot.
