Excel 4.03 USB memory stick problem

Postby Oidal » June 27th, 2012, 7:58 pm

I've tried Suggsy's 4.0.3 & 4.0.4 with a FAT32 & NTFS memory stick loaded with movies, but are not seen on the tablet. Any suggestions, anybody .......................

Cheers

I assume you are talking Excel - perhaps you will confirm and if so I will move this to the Excel thread.
I am also running Suggsy89's 4.0.4 rom and you are correct you cannot use the usb as a host as this seems to be broken in this rom.
You can still use the usb as slave i.e.when you connect to your PC. Until this is fixed - although I expect the next release may well be Jellybean - just copy your films to the external SD card (shown as extsd in this rom). You can browse to it using a file explorer like ES file explorer and play your films by directly clicking on them or you may choose to scan them into your player library and play them that way.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

i did not realise that sugss89's 4.0.3 did not support usb OTG maybe time to flash another rom AOKP or CM9 i was going to go back to sugsy's 4.0.3 as the battery life is excellent but maybe not for this reason

Do you think Suggsy might fix it or is the CM9 better?
