Your very welcome - as you have found out S.O. aren't very forthcoming when it comes to support.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

Underneath the Hub sign it should say "Remembered". That is the one Scroll will use. I am also registered with BTFon and it also has "Remembered" underneath, but I haven't been outside to test it yet.
This one worked for me. However, there has to be a better way of connecting to get started.

You should be able to get the Tablet to "forget" the version of the Home Hub it has no passphrase entered - that way it will avoid confusion.

The other point is about BTFon - I've had limited success with using this - one problem appears to be that when connecting to the BTFon network via your Home Hub it isn't the Hub that allocates the IP address but somewhere deeper in the Network. I've had it stuck on trying to acquire a network address for immense lengths of time giving the impression that there is a problem with your tablet when the problem is insufficient resources in the Network. Same goes for the BT Openzone-H networks.

Thanks for the info Bob. Now that I am connected to the internet, I will find the email which BT sent me and from there I will be able to download the software which will enable me to connect to a BT Hot spot. I am so busy at the moment, but will try it in a few days time and will let you know how I get on.

You should'nt need any special software to connect - initially the hot spots show up as unsecured networks. When you connect and start to browse you are taken to a "landing page" where you enter your security credentials. I believe the "special software" just help you locate a hotspot to connect to, however this is pretty pointless as you should be able to view the available ones via the Wi-Fi settings anyway.

You might have better sucess if you are near a "managed" hotspot rather than the thousands that run piggy-back of a BT Total Broadband connection.

Found some time to pop outside and try Scroll Excel with my Wi Fi. Holding the Scroll in my left hand and trying to type with my right hand is no easy task. As you said, I didn't need to download any software since I am already registered with BT Fon. Clicked on BT Fon and in no time I was connected.
All I can suggest is the manufactures and suppliers of Scroll should stick another piece of paper into the box, with simple instructions how to connect to the Internet. This shall be the end of my Thread. Thanks for all your help Bob.

Not perhaps another piece of paper but maybe the next best thing: http://www.storageoptions.com/assets/do ... 0Guide.pdf
