just noticed a spec of dirt on the screen. Not a big one, but an annoying little spec, more noticable when you have a white backgrind behind it. Sure it wasn't there before, so thought it must be between the glass and the screen protector. Changed the screen protector, and no ts under the glass.

How can a spec of dirt get under the glass. This has to be a manufacturing quality issue.

Don't know whether to live with it or send it back. I know others have reprted dirt under the screen. You still got it there or does it move as if this has only just appeared, how much other dirt is going to appear.

Of coure it might have always been there and I only just noticed.

My Scroll is 6 months old now and I also have aquired a light colured spec under the glass right in the middle of the screen.
I suspect errant entry through one of the ports or buttons somehow.
In reality, it is more annoying simply knowing it is there than the fact that it actually detracts from whatever I am using it for.
I suspect, our only solution (outside of warranty) is to carefully take the unit apart and have a clean-up inside.

If anyone does decide to take a look inside their Extreme, please take photo's so we can all benefit from the experience.

I also have a black spec under the screen, near the top right. It's been there since I bought the tablet.

I have a perfectly clear screen at present,but looking at the casing near the USB ports etc,it doesn't line up properley,there's a mm gap there.
it hasn't been out of the house yet though, I don't rate its chances once it does :-/
I had a Nokia x6, it lasted 2 weeks in the work van before the screen started filling up like an etch-a-sketch ( if you remember them)
we've all paid for a decent spec tablet here,with an excellent screen but there are definitely build quality issues here!

does anybody know if any of the iPad silicon sleeves fit the scroll??
as the only weak spot are the ports & where the Ali back meets the back plastic, I think this would minimise the problem if one fits

I sent my Elite back because of this... I didn't mention it on the RMA, I just hoped to rely on the DSR regs.

Apparently, the screen is attached with bits of double sided tape at several points. The dust enters through the gaps, oh for a bit of silicon sealer!

I know the generics are sub par quality, but I opened up my iPad 2 a while a go and found it to be pretty poorly put together as well. I even found double sided tape in there
