Winamp Pro music player

If you are like me and still running 2.1 you will find this player a big improvement on the stock player.

The stock player offers no graphic eq to allow you to improve the sound quality. 2.1 limits the selection of players capable of performing quality eq. This player has a 10 band graphic eq. It really is effective. You can save your graphic set up or use the many in built presets. Unlike others I have tried there is no distortion, clipping or heavy cpu use. Music plays smoothly.

There are some more nice features but I will let you find out for yourselves.

For me the audio quality is the main advantage.

So for all the older 2.1 scrollers you can have great audio.

I too have always been a big Winamp fan and I've got the pro version on my desktop pc. I also have the free version on my Lenovo A1 and it works great.

I can't have it on my Scroll Elite tho! It says it's not supported, which is a real shame. Oh well, maybe one day.

It most likely will work on your Scroll, it's because of the build.prop and possible missing 'permission' files that market says it's not supported. Try sideloading the Winamp app from your Lenovo A1 to your Elite and install.

I'm using Play Music (apk is available on the internet) and it's great, although I did buy Winamp but didn't really like it.

The Play music app is for 2.2 upwards so no good for me:(

WinAmp will do for me for now.

Any one know of a simple player that
1) will remamber the last song played on the play list and will carry one playing from there unless told other wise,
2) not shut down when i flick back to the home screen.
