@Minijay.
Take a look here
viewtopic.php?f=55&t=1719&hilit=ITV+Player the download link is still live.
There is quite a lot of information about ITV player - this is an Excel thread but the generic info is relevant to the Extreme as well.
Take particular note of the need to install Adobe air for ITV player.
A few further comments about the BBC iplayer app:
1. It is highly likely that iplayer will prompt you to update flash - there have been significant problems for users with 4.0.4 when they do this and 4.0.4 users should avoid updating flash to the latest version until 4.0.4 is declared final build. I am sure Suggsy and others will advise more on the in's and out's of this as time goes on.
2. I'm not sure what you mean when you say iplayer opens like a browser. The app should open on a screen with a camera strip of horizontal scrollable programmes along the top that you can catch up on if you wish by selecting them. There is also a search function on the top right (magnifying glass icon) which allows you to search the iplayer database for the programme you want to catch up on.
Also on the top right you will see a menu icon represented by several horizontal stacked lines and if you touch this a drop down menu will appear with the option to watch live TV - selecting this will give you a screenful of live BBC broadcasts that you can stream directly through the iplayer app (you don't need a seperate video player for this)
Charlie and I used to watch BBC streams through a browser but a few weeks ago due to changes by the BBC this function suddenly stopped and all attempts to get streams this way resulted in an error code.
Although as I keep repeating - I am using an Excel with 4.0.3 - I'm sure it will be of interest to others using an Extreme with 4.0.4 with problems, if you can get your Extreme with 4.0.3 working as good as my Excel on 4.0.3 then this may sort you out as a user who wants to use iplayer and Suggsys beta 4.0.4's can sort out those who want to make their Extremes games machines.
