Nothing Will Download!!!??

hi , i posted a question on here yesturday about forgetting my password well i toke the advice and formatted it using the recovery thing well now ive tried downloading apps from the android market or as it is now called "google play" , well i used to work 100% fine! well now it wont work , when i click on install it says "this app will be downloaded shortly" then i click "ok" and nothing happens! nothing comes up at all! no attempt to download or anything! , ive looked everywhere online and nothing works! ive tried emptying the cachet thing that didnt work , i emptied my history , tried downloading on a PC ect.! i have wifi connection which is working as i can surf on the tablet also i have downloaded from slideME market and that worked! please help as now ive got it working i would like to use it! also can u explain in great detail as im not too clued up! lol

if you mean into google mail then yeah and i tried making another account and it wouldnt let me use it

Anyone got any help? I think i know wats wrong, my yablet has not updates to ICS i dont know how, why or wht to do! please help! I love my tablet and would like.to be able to use it the way i used and ment to
