In my infinate wisdom/stupidity i managed to spill a bit of irn-bru on my tablet when i put it on charge last night and only realised this morning

The list of things that did not work are

Tilt sensor
Flash video
Audio

Ive had the back off the device and had the circuit board out so i could take a look, a few drops got in but upon cleaning them off and putting it back together the tilt sensor is now working but flash and audio still arent.

The audio does not work through either the built in speaker or the headphone socket


Would i be right in thinking that i have gone past the point of repair with it and now is the time to religate it to Kindle/XBMC remote duties and look to replace it

BTW if you do take the back off your tablet and try to run it without the back keep your fingers away from the processor

Stick it in a tub of rice, seal it up, so its air tight, leave it for a week in a relatively warm place, check if it works then, if not, its screwed.

You could try circuit board cleaner from maplins.
If you leave it alone for a few days it might be ok .
I have done this a few times with phones and the like and been lucky,but it won't always work.
Worth a try.

Yea first thing i did was look at the board see if i could see any of the obvious stains from spilled fizzy drink but no joy

Will pick up some of that cleaner and then shove the device in some rice for a week or so and lets see if that sorts it

If not then it will just be a facebook/XBMC remote device
