Looks like my influence has helped sell a huge number of these tablets, other tablet suppliers really need to take a note here.

Ok, guys, been a very long time since I was technical, so I'm not going to mess around with my Extreme, but for those of you with more up to date technical skills...... don't want to brick my tablet.

was just having a look around using Terminal Emulator, and when su'd to root, saw that on the extreme there is a folder owned by Owner and Group called bluetooth. had a look in there and there are loads of files and directories. I suspect that this build is the same as the maplin one, and bluetooth may be hiden away somewhere and could be useable.....

over to you up to date techies.....

Regards

Kevin

Are you sure this Maplin tablet has bluetooth? (Can anyone with one confirm?)

Although it's on the "specifications" tab on the Maplin site - the PDF (http://www.maplin.co.uk/media/pdfs/A79LC_datasheet.pdf) and the "Yarvik" site (http://www.yarvik.com/en/products/table ... TAB467EUK/) site do *not* mention bluetooth - so I think this may be a mistake on the Maplin site?

To me it looks exactly the same as the Scroll Extreme.

You are correct at this moment in time, I received this early but checked in the settings and there was no option for Bluetooth thus I may send it back, or If I need to it will be a good reason to do so lol
Quite disappointed regarding this.

A shame indeed...
Im not impressed actually lol
CWM still needs tweaking, the keys do not work at the moment :(

I think it could be a returns to maplin under the 28 day return policy.

I wonder if this tab is worse or better than the Extreme. What's bad about it? - I take it you have dumped the FW?

Played a random 3d game and the sound was really laggy
Same issue with BBC Iplayer as reported with the Extreme
No wifi location lock
I had to sideloaded the Market as that is not installed out of the box

I am still playing with it though

No FW dump at the moment, although i do have a clockwork backup just incase i mess up.
