How To "Flash Android 4.0.3 ICS" (Excel Only)

First thing i did was install the android-sdk then update it
I then downloaded my livesuit package, and extracted it to the desktop,
Then i ran livesuitpack100.exe.
Then i ran livesuit.exe itself, did the vol+ and power,



It asked me to install the driver, so i selected my driver

After that tried again, it proceded to install the driver again, and up popped the format dialogue box

i just found that it had ran out of battery over night so charging past 50% and then will try. i will post back later, hopefully with success.

hey mate. getting there.

i still had the problem on also my downstairs pc also running win 7 64 bit, it would just say when i browsed to your driver that there wasnt a compatible driver found. like the upstairs pc i then browsed to the livesuit 64 bit usb driver and it installed it like the other one and took the ! off the device in device manager.

i now have ICS on it. thanks loads.

i then tried to get cwm back on with the .bat and this came up



any ideas mate?

Check in device manager, you probably have issues with your driver again. The driver needs to be installed otherwise adb will not detect the tablet. Try to update the driver.

i had a look in device manager and there isnt an !. i went to the usb device it is under and tried to update the driver with the same as before in livesuit incase something needed re-doing but it says it is installed already.

i will have another mess tomorrow on both pcs and see if i can get it sorted.

so far, even with that first version of ICS on this thread it seems great on the excel, thanks again.

EDIT... yeh, same on both pcs. i guess it is something to do with using the livesuit driver so that my pcs recognise it? bit stuck now.

looks like i got it done.

due to the excel having to be off while flashing ICS i wrongly presumed it had to be off for the cwm bat to work. i realised i was probably wrong and tried it while it was on and hey presto. i am now doing a backup so will post back if all well.

now i just need to flash the updated ICS.

I have now updated the base ICS firmware, i should of done this ages ago lol...
