At long last it has worked. It has only taken 5 different computers!!

I eventually tried on a Dell I have that has a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate with no other software installed and it worked without any problems.

What a pain that was to do such a simple install.

So am I as I have less hair than when I started.

Only one problem left, can't reinstall USB driver to get CWM5 working.

Should I be using the original one when I set up CWM before flashing ICS, as when I try to install it I get 'Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an erro while attempting to install it'

you beat me it took 2 computers its so frustrating as once it connects its oh so simple

if you have acces to the pc that would connect use that one
i use my netbook for cwm5 and files and borrow the wifes win7 laptop for flasing via livesuite (not very hi tech lol) just cant get it working on my xp netbook

Tried using the pc that worked with Livesuit, but got I got the same error message

use the first one that wouldnt take livesuite as there must be a driver conflict on some pc's

Tried that last night, but no joy..Decided to try at work and after a couple of attempts managed to install the drivers and updated CWM.

Just done a backup and reboot and everything witking fine.
