Killed apps keep restarting

Postby davesch » March 7th, 2012, 9:27 pm

Every time I check, apps which I've stopped have restarted themselves automatically again. They seem to be mainly ones I've installed from Android Market, so may be timed to regularly check for updates and I did read that this could be turned off, but I cannot find any such settings on the Excel.

Can anyone advise please ?

Don't worry about it, if you keep trying to stop them does more harm than good. Android is not like Windows.

Presumably though the more apps I install, the more this is going to happen and I'll run out of available memory ?

Android has built in app killer, leave it as it is, simple.

The apps are just sitting there ready and waiting, hardly using any resources. You will use more resources, killing the apps again you killed when they started again and then you killed them and so on, then finaily open the app because you need it. ;)
