@Everton68
I may have found a fix for the Calendar.
Try this link
http://goo.gl/pojc5
Go to the bottom, and there is a mention of the calendar not working on ICS.
And there is a link to download a new CalendarGoogle.apk.
I think I will give up Googling for the night :)
If the link is dead, then I have uploaded a copy to my cloud for safe-keeping :)
You can get it here....http://db.tt/Flr9SEn6
But read the instructions first :)

Bingo! The new calendar file you linked to works. I renamed the original file to calendarold.apk, renamed the new one to calendar.apk then used Android Commander to install it as a system app.
Thanks a lot for your efforts.

@blueeagle69 - Thanks, nice one. I have also added that .zip to my server too.

No probs Charlie.
I gave myself a headache looking for a fix for the calendar issue on ICS.
All I need now is for Chainfire to get upgraded to support ICS. I then might take the plunge myself.
I think I will change my userid to blueeagle69_Calendar Man.

@Mitre - Well done, so what's it like? ... ICS, that is, not your beautiful wife's 64bit W7 laptop!

At the moment I'm more than a bit confused about the different version of ICS we could use, the methods of flashing them onto the Excel and how to get back to Gingerbread if it all goes horribly wrong... is it just me?

Regards

Mitre you brave soul.
I have found out that Chainfire 3D does indeed seem to work on ICS :-)
I read some reports on the XDA forum that it has been running on 4.0 and 4.0.3.
Should I take the plunge....
