Advice before I commit to buy a Scroll Tablet

Postby Bob » March 3rd, 2012, 9:38 pm

Hello everyone,

I have read these forums and impressed at the friendliness of the community. I am a bit dissapointed with Scroll support for not fixing these problems.

There seems to be a big problem with voice sync when using iplayer and other sites with the Excel and the odd touch screen problems...

I was looking to buy this tablet, but the Scroll support don't seem to be able to fix this.

So I looked at the yet to be released Scroll Extreme 9.7" Tablet, it sounds ok but I think its a bit over priced.

Would you people say get the Excel even with the sync and touch screen problems or wait for the Extreme..

Thank you,
Bob

hi Bob and welcome to the forum
the 2 devices are quite different in form factor more than hardware or software so it depends what you want it for the excel is 7" so will fit in a jacket pocket or rear jeans pocket so is more travel friendly the extreme is 10" so more for indoors on the sofa you can get android 4.0.x on the excel albeit unofficial both are good

Hi Bob & welcome to the forum,

I recommend the Excel (I have one) - also @Mitre made some good points. You could wait for the Extreme, it does look like a really good tablet. As the specs of the Extreme seem very good for the price and the tab looks great, but it's how it handles in reality, well that is something else, and I can not comment on that as I have not been able to get my hands on one.

Thanks Mitre,

The 7inch would be better really, I was just a bit put off with the lip sync errors I have read about.

Thanks foe the welcome as well :)
