I'm quite happy for SO to be launching new products every couple of months provided that their support for existing products isn't diminished.

The Excel we've got now is the same as was launced back in December... I can understand that we've not had any upgrades to it, but am disappointed that SO haven't found a fix for the lipsync issue. Having weathered the storm of dissatisfaction about it, I don't even know if they're working solution any more.

@Mitre's work notwithstanding, it would help if SO could publish the stock images for Excel, the pre-production (@Mitre / @Charlie / @Blueagle69) version and the later one that the majority of us have got. Maybe then we could experiment with some fixes, safe in the knowledge that we've got a route back to a vanilla version

I was planning on emailing SO about this very issue.
Most of the other Excel type tablets have the stock firmware, so why can't they manage it.

Good man @blueeagle69... I'm sure we'd all be interested to know what they have to say.

As a matter of interest... what is your firmware version now?

I blame the fact I have a migraine.
I am in fact using Mitre's firmware.
For some weird reason, I thought I was talking to Mitre. My bad.
Yep definately the migraine. Sorry mate.

@blueeagle69 - No worries, if you've got a migraine, you should get yourself off to bed rather than be looking at a screen... especially a 7" like the Excels.

If, when you're better, you can confirm your firmware version, I might fire off an email to SO too.

Hope you feel better soon.
