Still cant get flash video to work on bbc iplayer site.
For info, the flash player installs fine from this link, also intsalls fine from market - flash checking sites say that flash is installed, it just doesn't seem to work - instead of video just black.

I might have a fix for that - I read it the other day.

1) force stop the browser process
2) Remove all permissions for /data/data/com.android.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flash_Player/config.data

So just un tick all the permissions for that file config.data - (found in the path above)

or Chmod 000 via terminal

Make sure the file browser you have is showing 'all files' and not hiding some, there is a setting to show all file when using root explorer.

I could have the path wrong, as that's for GB not sure if it would be different for ICS.

Didn't work, trying some different settings in the config.data, but if someone could post their file from a working gingerbread excel I could try that. I'm currently using the one from my phone which is probably all the wrong settings.

So changing the permsiions to 000 (all unticked) did not work?

Mine is here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18307166/config.data

This is info from a devs app (Flash Video Browser) - it might help,

TECHNICAL ISSUES!:
Apparently there are issues with CM7... According to one user. Apparently modifying your flash's config.data to the following works, DeviceCert=1 HeapSoftLimit=120 HeapHardLimit=150 HwH264=bp:108000,15;mp:108000,15;hp:10

I'll try anymore suggestions again tomorrow afternoon. I'll be too busy till then.
Tried opera - fail.
Tried changing permissions to 000, also hunted through other folders looking for config.data files - fail.
I had found the settings mentioned above also :) - fail.
Will try changing along the lines of your config.data tomorrow, but if permissions are 000 then the browser can't access it anyway????

Yep, that was the fix that worked for someone else - they need to stop access to that file as before they got audio but no video, but blocking access fixed this.

If you are changing the config.data put the permissions back to rw-rw-rw-

Good one for trying, it's a shame nothing has worked so far - I had my fingers crossed.

Hi kaos120

Rayhertford here. I think my tab did that as well. All I did was go to the system settings and just do a factory reset on the unit. On boot up you then get prompted to add an account (I used my gamail account), to the unit then everything was fine.

kaos120 wrote:I've been reading this forum for a while (about a week before I got my Excel). The lip sync issue was ruining the tablet for me, so I decided to take the plunge and tried this.
Following the instructions I installed ICS fine. (Though watch out for the press power button 10 times bit, it might take a few goes).
Please note that after installing this, clockworkmod recovery is no longer installed. I'll try putting it back in at a later date.
Everything seemed to be going fine (skype/market etc) until I installed the lordsbm script.
After installing the script, my market no longer worked - kept coming up with a message "You must add an account to the device to continue." When clicking to add an account, it just goes back to the launcher.
In settings>accounts my gmail account has dissappeared, and i cannot re-add. When clicking on Gmail screen briefly turns white then goes back to launcher.
Has anyone else experienced this, or got any ideas?
I would recommend that until this is resolved others refrain from flashing the script.
I have had to re-flash the ics image to get back to a fully working system.

hi guys it is always good practice to factory reset and wipe davlic cache and battery stats(if you can get to it(advanced in CWM) when flashing new roms for the first time once they are on and wiped you can flash back and forht between backups without wiping
