@Charlie - Thanks for the background.

I guess, maybe, I'm guilty of an 'over expectation' on what SO are able to offer.

My background is a Windows environment and, if someone purchases a PC (I don't, I build my own) after the release of a newer operating system, there's a voucher in the box to claim an upgrade. As I'm sure you know, it's pretty well standard practice across the PC software industry (even Adobe offer such product upgrades).

ICS was launched back in October 2011, so I imagined it would just be a case of SO rolling out the update when they'd got it ready (as others have and are doing).

Android is a whole new environment, with a feel of how the PC software market was back in the early 90's (if you needed a tweak or a driver, you did it yourself). Maybe, I need to rewind my expectations of SO back to the early 90's too!

Would it not just be as easy to install it our self with out SO? And would'nt that also be better becauseit would be rooted?

Hi,

I have a Tablo which I think is the same as the scroll excel.

Just to let you know the ICS Rom for the Ployo Momo9 works on the Tablo so should work on the Excel too.

There are a few issues I have found though:

1. Skype video calling works but the person at the other end gets green lines down the video of you.
2. In the gallery app if you edit images the changes dont work properly - image go all blank etc
3. It seemed really snappy at first - even quicker than 2.3 but it suddenly slowed down to a crawl after a few hours of general messing. A reboot sped things up but not ideal.

ICS is a much better OS than Gingerbread though - loving it so far.

No probs Charlie.

I have gone back to 2.3 on my Tablo until a more stable version of 4 comes out. 4 was nice for a play but its not ready for the prime time.

BTW saw a very similar tablet on Ideal TV last night called the Joytab. These things are everywhere!

@Johnny - That is very interesting to know, how did you get back to 2.3.4? (as a few of us won't try 4.0.1 as we thought you could not get back to 2.3.4)
