@Mitre - I just had a thought, I wonder if this new build.prop will cause issues when trying to put CWM5 on the Excel and/or using CWM5. What do you think?

I have used this, all seems to have gone well. I can see lots more apps, tried to install Asphalt 6, installs but then I get the device is not compatible message when I open it.....DOH!!

I will try that later - It might be the Excel hardware or I did leave this line in the build.prop as ro.product.model=Scroll Excel

Maybe if it was changed to ro.product.model=Nexus S (it might work) or try using Chainfire.

P.S. Asphalt 5 HD is ok on my Excel - sound out of sync tho'

Have you tried Chainfire (Pro) with the plugins?
I did purchase the Pro license for Chainfire, and it's pretty-damn good.
