When I've next got some PAYG credit I'll check whether it will get the Excel online... for the moment, it's a 'maybe'

I've also tried, unsuccessfully, to connect an external USB CD drive that has it's own power supply. It's probably a driver issue, so don't hold your breath on this one.

That 3G dongle sounds promising.
Can't wait to find out the result.

I'm trying out a couple of USB keyboards for the Excel, but can't seem to find the right key to click on a link within a web page.

When you finish guffawing about my level of technical expertise, can anyone enlighten me please?

I just received my Case/keyboard for the Excel
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005NHQSCO

Keyboard works fine for it!
I will make a separate thread to review the case.

@Excel,I'm not sure what key it would be to be honest, in Windows you just keep pressing tab and it cycles through each link/button on the webpage until you get to the one you want then hit enter.

@Wully - Thanks... it's the hitting 'enter' key bit that doesn't work for me on links with an orange outline.

If, say, I perform a search on Google, I can hit the 'enter' key to start a search. In the list of results, selecting a link puts an orange outine around it, but 'enter' won't make it work.

Maybe, I'm overlooking something obvious (not for the first or last time!), but if you can't 'select' web links via the external keyboard when it's connected, there doesn't seem to be a lot of point having one.

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and am just waiting for my shiny new Excell 3d tablet to appear, ordered yesterday from Ebuyer.
Quick question, has anyone tried a simple USB audio interface and whether it worked or not? I work with audio and it might well be a useful feature to me.
Cheers!

I can't seem to find a key to select the links unfortunatly.
Though I have discovered this:

Pressing Esc = Back Button
Pressing F1/F10 = Menu button
Pressing F3 = Possibly Home button but it crashes the android launcher and I need to restart the Scroll
Pressing F4 = Lock/Unlock

I have noticed there's a new menu option in one of the settings pages that allow you to bind application short cuts to your keyboard when your on the launcher.

Please do review the case as I wanted to buy the exact same one, but it was out of stock :(

Btw, I also tried WD 2.5" HDD, but it didn't work so it most certainly is a problem with power supply.

Hi guys shift F10 is the right click button on a keyboard i cant test cos my RII tek only goes up to F8
so if youcan highlight the link with tab then shift F10 you should get the option to open in new tab
and i think the spacebar is left click

Thanks... I still can't seem to find the correct key / combination to select certain links on a web page. As I said previously, it seems to defeat the purpose of having a keyboard, so I think I'm going to return my one. It's not the end of the world... all part of the process of learning about Android and its capabilites. Makes me realise I've been taking Windows' Plug and Play for granted all these years!
