Thanks Charlie

Much, much better. Still not as good as the BBC iplayer, but it is just about watchable now. :D

Just tried that ITV player app, and yes it is much better.

Compared to BBC iPlayer, the picture quality is not as good and stutters. But I feel that it has less of a noticeable lip-sync issue, what do you think?

Tested this as well on dolphin browser mini.

Set to "high" quality on TvCatchups site.

Quality is bearable but is very choppy. The entire site seems to be choppy for me though. The site itself may just be poorly optimized.

If anyone else can confirm, changing the video to 4:3 aspect ratio then putting it in full screen seems to fix the choppyness for me, there is no lipsync issue for me.

How did you do this bit? Is it a setting on Dolphin mini?

Thanks

It was on the actual flash video, though I just tired it again there to show you the picture of where it is and it didn't fix the choppyness, go figure haha.

On the very right hand side, you can press the button to change the aspect ratio, then the button second from the right is to switch it to full screen.

I cannot get TV catchup to run on my new Excell. On trying to open any channel, a small dialogue box opens asking me If I wish to save a file. If I yes, the file is saved but wont open anyway.

Can someone put me right? Thanks

Although ITV player is Flash based it also requires Adobe Air 2.6 to be downloaded and installed.
I find it plays much better than BBC iPlayer with virtually no lip-sync issues on my Excel.
The file you are saving may need to be opened and installed as I suspect it is Adobe Air 2.6.
If you can't find it in your downloads try running the file from source instead of saving it.
The first time you use ITV player it will ask for your email/postcode this is because ITV need to know where you are to ensure they comply with their broadcasting rights and obligations.
If it isn't broken then don't try to fix it!

I do have Adobe Air installed but something else must be wrong/missing.
