Ice Cream Sandwich source code released.

Postby blueeagle69 » January 10th, 2012, 12:17 pm

Having since learnt that Icecream Sandwich source code has been released by Google, surprising considering they never released the previous one to Open Source.
Come on Storage Options, get your firmware guys on it :-)

Hi any one whos been on here for a while may remember start of last year i bought a little T-mobile pulse mini for £19.99(on offer)
long sory short this was the phone that lured me away from the locked in world of Iphone to the joys of Android.
Anyway last night i ported ICS 4.0.1 to this little phone and it is the bees nest come on SO if a guy on XDA developers can do it for this phone shurely your guys can get it on the Excel

Great stuff Mitre,

I remember the posts about that phone - That phone was a great little bargain and it just keeps on surprising.

It would be nice to get ICS on the Excel. More than likely the next model (or one after that) of the scroll will have ICS as standard.

I'm not sure if it's bad etiquette to post the same reply more than once, but I'm doing so in all of the Android 4 / ICS Excel threads I can find.

I'm sure the mods will put me right if I've erred! As it's easier to apologise than ask permission... sorry!

I've emailed Paul at SO to find out what their plans are for updating the Excel to 4 / ICS. I'll let you know what he has to say.

@excel - No worries, nice one for sending the email off.

(Also thanks for making me realise there are 3 threads on ICS for the Scroll Excel.)
