Excel dimensions

Postby Charlie » January 11th, 2012, 6:34 pm

Hi,

Can someone with an Excel, please measure it and post back the size, thanks. (I know the info is on SO's and other sites, but I am hoping it's wrong)

Agreed... I might have gone for 12mm thickness, but it's good enough for Government work!

Thanks to you both :)

So the published sizes are wrong (203mm x 132mm x 12mm) - well on the W & L

Well good news for me then - looks like a case I was looking at will be ok.

You're welcome.

What case are you going for? I've got a SOKPAD clone from Amazon, but haven't tried it out yet.

I have a clone SOKPAD too - got it with my 1st gen scroll, don't remember where I got it from tho' - I never ended up using it that much.

The case I am looking at is a Wenger one (see my other post) - now found one on Amazon, which is in stock and cheaper. But it seems the internal length is 7.5" which is 190mm - not sure if the excel will fit in. - but if you look at my other post SO - claim it does fit the excel.

Info from a review (about the size)

To finish, I offer now the details from the product packaging, which consists solely of a simple wrap-around hanger sleeve, the whole being contained within a clear polythene bag:

Yep, I bought this http://goo.gl/GgyFb

It's designed for the Creative Ziio 7.
But as I found out, the device is slightly larger than the Excel.
So it look like it will be fine :)

Hi Charlie.
Funny enough I did plan to get a neoprene pouch style case, and while I was looking around I cam across that one.
It should offer some protection for it.
