Wi-Fi Info Please

Something I don't see mentioned in the manual at all: can you define the device's IP, default gateway, netmask, etc? Can it VPN?

For some reason you can't access these details, which is weird? The scroll doesn't VPN

This will be a deal breaker for me I'm afraid. If they only enable simple DHCP and have no routing options then I'll not be able to take it online. I have a router which gives me wireless g/n, but I use a Linux box to govern the internet connection; which is 20m Virgin cable, soon to be 50m. The router is just a pass-through.

Not giving such options excludes advanced users. In fact, it excludes anyone who assigns IPs on their LAN. Pretty sad tbh.

I called and talked with 'Mike'. He said he'll check some stuff out and talk to someone or another and email me. We'll just have to see.

You can set manual IP by going into settings/wireless & networks/wifi settings then pressing the context menu button and selecting "advanced"

I am not sure if there are any VPN apps for Android.
