So am I right in thinking, now we have ClockwordMod installed and working, and our own ROMs backed up, all that is left to do is create a custom Froyo ROM and Restore the device to that ROM ?

I'd say so.

All that was ever needed for Cyanogen on my android phones.

Hi,

just a quick question - should i rename back the phone related apk's from .old to .apk before i do this - or does it not really make a difference?

Ive found a program I am testing - but have come across a problem relating to the instructions in the OP

When opening the command prompt via Shift - right click in the platform-tools folder and typing "adb devices"

It is listing nothing under devices, the driver is installed correctly and shows in device manager

Any ideas why it does not detect the device?

I have USB Debugging On

This might sound a bit obvious, although I overlooked it and didn't notice on my Win7 x64 - it doesn't have the drivers but didn't bother to tell me, so I never saw the device: android Eclair... once I sorted some drivers from the web my device was picked up :)
