Complete newbie stupid question about 'Folders'

Postby Duffer » December 11th, 2011, 9:31 am

Hi all,

I apologise in advance as even as I type I'm embarressed that I can't find the answer to this question. Not all aspects of the Excel are completel intuitive and the instruction book leaves a LOT to be desired.

When I opt to create a new folder on the desktop (so I can group icons) the only folder name ever offered to me is 'New folder' and I can't for the life of me find out how to rename this folder to something useful like 'Games', 'Finance' etc

Please feel free to 'virtually' point and laugh at me......so long as you know the answer that is :D

All the best,

Duffer.

How do you 'right click' on a tablet?

I'm assuming you're providing me with instructions on how to rename a shortcut on a Windows desktop. Not what I'm after. I mean the desktop/workspace on the tablet itself.

Thanks,

Answer my own post

Once you have added the 'New Folder' to the tablet desktop tap on the folder icon to open it. Then tap & hold the 'X' at the top right of the folder. After a second or two the rename folder dialog appears.

Not very intuitive - but that is the answer nonetheless.

 - Feeling smug now!
