is there away where i can do a complete wipe of files and start from scratch? without bootin in recovery mode as it wont let me as of now.all i can use is adb shell , and if that fails my scroll has become mp3 player lol as it boots up without any probs but camera/video/ wifi fails to start

you will need to extract recovery.img from zip copy to sdcard
while device is running, connect to pc via adb,
use command,
flash_image recovery /sdcard/tflash/recovery.img

If you wipe everything you have a brick and that's not good, if we can get a recovery working your good to go, identifying the model you have is a bit hard now as all we have is the model number, and not the firmware version...
i may be wrong, we can only try... follow my previous post

does recovery work?

Hi , when i hold down vol+ key after few seconds it shuts down even if i hold down vol+ key and hold power button does same , sometimes it freezes when i hold down vol+ key when i power it up , but it boots up normally if i power it up and touch no keys so im baffled why recovery mode not workin

ill try anythin even if it becomes a brick ,i have nothin to loose , if all fails ill have a touch screen mp3 player minus wifi and camera, ive learned my lesson never go to products support page and download updates

you may need to delete install-recovery.sh from /system/etc before you flash, so boot up the tablet as normal, you need root and a file explorer that is able to mount the system as read/write and go ahead and delete the file, it wont hurt, then try and flash recovery again

Hi all, question for all. after many attempts to get clockwork mod workin in recovery mode finally done it but figure this out,? due to me being in this position in the 1st place, i accidentally updated scroll from storage options with miscroll update , to which nearly bricked my scroll. ill get to the chase lesson learned always read the tin 1st,anyway how i got clockwork recovery mode workin i tried updatin usin The miscroll files can be found here

ok latest on this , due to update on storage website which i updated by accident , to which inreality i shouldnt have but we learn from our mistakes anyway that update worked in away but touch screen never worked, so being me i clicked on miscroll update and flashed that the results were everythin worked includin touch screen, but camera, and wi-fi doesnt so atm im happy to be guinea pig to try anytghing to get it workin , its android 2.3.1 ,version which now is installed also says recovey is recovery 3e

i understand now, because you are using miscroll kernel only clockwork mod recovery for miscroll works as it links to the kernel, you now need to flash update.zip for cyanogen mod 7 designed for the Original Scroll, you will most probably then have to flash the right recovery.

on a side note have you contacted Storage Options to see if they can provide the original update for your tablet?
