Back/home buttons - status bar

Hi guys

Received my scroll today (2.3 with capacitive screen) and have been playing with it for about 6 hours, steep learning curve but brilliant.

One thing is driving me crazy however, I seem to have to use the "real" buttons for home and back just about everywhere.

Is there a way I can add "soft" home and "back" buttons to the status bar at the top of the screen?

I am happy to download an app if required. I have spent a couple of hours and have got nowhere.

Downloaded an app called "smart taskbar".

Once installed it places a little almost invisible circle on the screen that allows me to go to the app when touched and then to home (closing the running app).

Don't use the real buttons anymore.

I am in heaven (just realised how sad that seems)

I love it when great minds think alike.

I have installed the update for the 52577 from the storage options site and this gives taskbar based buttons for home and back as well as volume buttons.

I lost root when i updated (yesterday)
