Hi all, I just want to say thanks to everyone for taking the time to post some great advise about the Scroll tablet

I got mine a few days ago, another one from Maplin, a B Grade, everything seems to work fine on it although I find the screen a bit disappointing, Ive been spoilt with my iphones touch screen and its taking a while to get used to this one. I wish Id paid extra for a capacitive screen but its still great value for money. Im still plucking up courage to root it. Although I am quite computer literate and use linux on my home PC, this is my first experience with Android, so just dipping my toes one at a time so to speak.

Keep up the good work and I hope one day to be able to contribute more

Hi Tony,

Welcome to the Madhouse,

We were all new to Android at some point in the past and most of us have learnt by trial and error ( in plain language," ballsing it up and trying again)

Jimbo: Rooting is kind of....erm... like an admin account on a computer, another way to put it is displaying hidden system files which are not normally seen.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!
