The one I downloaded from your link Dave was 135MB, the Samfirmware one appears smaller?

It will be just a different compression ratio, I checked, they are identical.

Since it's raining, I tried bloggs Samfirmware JPQ version as he appears to have had success but same as before. It seemed to install OK but I was left with 'Samsung' on the display gently pulsing in brightness. Left it for 15 mins but nothing more happened so it's flashed back to 2.1, again :?

Andrew, out of interest, is that your original handset or the other jpm one?

It's the one I originally bought from CPW and flashed to JPM Froyo myself. Then flashed it back to Eclair (three times now :) )

Youre getting too good at this flashing lark, be after my old job next!

Ive had a think about this overnight..... Can you please try downloading and flashing the one from "samfirmware.com" and see if it works. There is a small chance the one I uploaded for you is corrupt, not likely but possible.

Give it a go and let me know how you get on.

UPDATE: Heres a link to the flash pack with the bootloaders removed. If odin says there is an error when you connect the handset dont flash it!

You must be joking, I have to bribe them to empty my dustbins!!!

However, just flashed your latest version, it appeared to install OK (after 6 mins 23 secs), pass on Odin and then just Samsung on the display. The Apollo wouldn't start up until I held the power button, it then restarted with the animated logo and music, 'Samsung' appears on the display, pulses three times and then nothing. I can get back into download mode though ;)
