Just bought myself an el cheapo 7" non-capacative scroll, £99 from E-buyer. The first one they sent was DOA, they replaced it and this one does actually work - typically they dropped the price by a fiver as soon as I bought it.
I was looking for a cheapish tablet, just to see how I would use it before I try to justify an Ipad or one of the emerging 10" android tablets. I expect it to be used to websurf on the sofa mostly, perhaps a bit of video or ebook reading if I'm traveling. Impressions so far are ok, but a few niggles around downloading apps probably connected to the marketplace support (or lack of).
Once I've tried it as supplied for a week or so, I'll start to play with it properly, get it rooted and see if I can get the marketplace hack to work. I stumbled upon this site when looking at cheap tablets, and I must say the guides and advice all seem really good - I like the idea of having to hack the thing around a bit to make it work as I want it, good way to learn. So if this tablet is rubbish, I'll blame you lot!
Some quick questions:
Did anyone get the barcode scanner app to work?
Is there supposed to be any GPS/location functionality in this tablet? (would be asking alot for the price I guess)
