Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

OK....
As Samsung seem to be p*&^^*ng about issuing the official update, I have prepared three flash kits for download. Each of the kits contains the odin flasher, ops file and flash package.

1) The original eclair rom should you wish to return your handset to the default firmware (ie for warranty cases etc)
2) The official jpf beta firmware (non-rooted). No known bugs in this version. I have removed the bootloader part of the flash for safety reasons.
3) The official JPM beta version (pre-rooted). Very similar to the above but its a "one package flash". the procedure with odin is slightly different.

I am not going to post public links to these files for obvious reasons, and would ask that any members who already have the files not to repost my links to them. My dropbox bandwidth is limited.
Should you wish to see a video of odin in action, i have prepared two screen-casts for your perusal.

Normal flash (eclair and jpf) http://db.tt/mriXwbT
One package flash (jpm) http://db.tt/SbEP4mw

If you have any questions feel free to ask but I must stress you use these files AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you want a link to any of them please PM me.

BTW Latest response from Samsung Support:

Regarding your query please be advised that the 2.2 firmware update is
already out for all the branded Orange Galaxy Apollo handsets in the UK
(open market ones are not ready for an update yet) and we already
rolling out the update in all of the servers. Please check with your

The odin video i used is in real time. You will need to pause it if not sure, or call me if you get stuck. If you need the original firmware I will pm you a link :)

EDIT: done!

Translated " We dont have a damn clue what we're talking about except from a couple of emails a day from Korea which we have to translate from Chinglish into Urdu and back again. Please excuse me while I go and feed my donkey. Im only on 50 rupees a week- do you really expect proper technical support for that kind of money? Bugger off and write a letter to Samsung for all I care - I can drive a rickshaw for twice the money".
