Scroll Tablet PC | Scroll Excel Tablet Forum

Hi everyone

I got the Scroll essential 7 inch tablet for Christmas

In preperation I got this cable:

Then on Christmas day when I tried to connect it to my Panasonic 50 inch viera Plasma the screen went blank on my scroll like it is suppose to but no picture transferred to my tv and the audio came out of my scroll not out of my tv.

Upstairs I have a small 19 inch Sony Bravia LCD, i tried it on that and again and again the same thing happened.

Went through all the instructions in the manual but could not get it to work.

Also other questions I have is how can i watch bbc iplayer through it?
What vvideo formats does it support?
And could I connect a DVD drive to it so I could watch dvds through it?

I am also new to the scroll essential, and really enjoying playing with it. I would also like to be able to watch bbc iplayer, but when I try and download flash 11 from the market place site, it says that it is not compatible with the scroll device.

I would be grateful for any ideas that can help me download flash and/or watch i player on a scroll essential

Welcome to the forum.
I don't believe the Essential supports flash?
If anyone wants to correct me, then feel-free, as I only have the Excel.

Correct! - No flash support on the Essential (due to the ARM11 v6 CPU)

you should be able to veiw video files stored on the device through hdmi check in settings/sound and display/output select and tick HDMI dont forget to set it back to NONE after veiwing
