Storage Options ticket system/honouring warranty
Hi,
I got a Scroll Extreme II last Wednesday, and by yesterday there were a few faults that were apparent. The screen seems to be failing, with visible distortions in one of the corner of the screen whenever normal touch pressure is applied. The screen also seems to have a lot of interference when heavy disk access is taking place. There is also a lot of electrical interference audible whenever sound is played.
I have a hunch that the battery may be swelling up inside the case causing the screen to get squashed up against the glass, causing the visible distortion, and perhaps causes the other issues as well.
I raised a ticket with Storage Options early this morning (just mentioning the obvious screen distortion problem), but have not heard anything back from them yet. Can anybody tell me what their experience has been with this company in terms of turnaround of dealing with issues and sending out replacements? I am trying to avoid going back to the original retailer as they are down the other end of the country and they are likely to be awkward. If Storage Options take too long it will almost defeat the purpose of getting the tablet, and I needed to use it for a few specific events that are coming up.
