I haven't opened mine up but would expect to find everything pretty tight inside and the battery will be a one-off, not a shiny row of AA cells so in say two-three years time are you going to be able to source a replacement anyway and at what price ? - probably cheaper to buy a new Tablet with a new OS.
I see SO did a "mi-Scroll" tablet that allowed you to change the battery, and you probably could get a spare battery now although what the situation will be in 2 years is another story. Buying a stock and hoarding them is not a sensible option as they will lose their capacity if stored for extended lengths of time.

There are some pictures on the forum
http://www.box.com/s/9nadxgp3zfig0e7eqbfi showing the inside of an Excel, but I would imagine that the other models are pretty similar. It seems that the Chinese use what someone has described as their version of duct-tape to stick everything in place - including the battery - which is usually accessible once you have manged to get the back cover off, stuck firmly with this guey tape to the back of the circuit board/screen.
There will probably be wires attaching the rear case speaker/s to the circuit board so care is required in not ripping these off. Presumably if you can get this far in and seperate the battery then you could replace it, but I expect you would have problems finding one to suit. If/when the battery fails completely, if you cant find a suitable replacement you could open the case, isolate the dead battery, re-assemble and run the tab straight from the power charger or usb or even from an external rechargeable usb battery pack.
Whe the time comes - if you do decide to open it up, please take some pictures so we can all take a look.
