Extreme doesnt have GPS, so I suspect it wont actually work.

If you have the apk on your device, I believe you just need to click on it using an explorer.

By the way, any chance you are the 'bigal' from a car forum I sometimes frequent ;)

Thanks for your quick reply. The 1 click direction apk. file was downloaded following the printed advice of a scroller on Amazon, apparently it works via the wifi on the excel tablet. The only car forum which I usually have a look at is the Smartcar one. Thanks again for your advice.

Hi bigal34, sounds like it was you I was talking to on amazon under my other name of quickbrew.
You need to download and install the 1 click app directly on your tablet, although I don't know if it is compatible with the Extreme as I only used it on the Excel and that was under Gingerbread 2.3.4 so it may not work with ICS.
As you correctly state, this is a wifi location based app that is accurate to about 30 metres. It cannot be used as a GPS system though, as even if you have a 3g dongle on your tablet this app is wifi based. It is very good for getting routes from point a to point b and it will speak your route for you using the android text to speech engine. Assuming you can get it to work at all on the Extreme.
