Hey guys. I have been watching this forum for a while now and decided to finally register. I have learnt so much from reading up on some very helpful posts.

I am looking to buy a Scroll Extreme tablet. I was all set on buying it from Ebuyer but then stumbled upon a deal at Scan where they are selling the Scroll ELITE for £199.99 which has 16gb memory as standard and they are throwing in a free 8gb micro sd card, a free case and also free next day delivery.

I was just wondering if Suggsy's 4.0.4 rom would work ok on the Elite? and also if anyone knows of any differences between the elite and extreme (apart from memory)..

any help would be much appreciated..

Although i cannot fully say "Yes, it will work" im sure it would be fine.
Im not sure as it is a new device, no one has one here yet, and i wont be buying it either lol

I think the Elite is the same hardware appart from the 16gb internal storage, the software/os side again not sure.

ahh, so no way of really knowing unless i try. Would you recommend i just get the Extreme then? and purchase a 32gb micro sd card? i'm sure i could then pick up a case for around a tenner.

No seriously, if you want a decent tablet for less than £200 quid buy the Elite, you never no, it may run fine

I reckon suggsy's build will work on the Elite, as it is the same as an Extreme, with bigger in built memory.

But dont take it as a guarantee. Just remeber to make a backup first so you could go back if needed.

From the specs listed on the S.O. website, it's the same device but with larger memory. Also generic versions are available which confirm that.

Scan are OK with returns

My Elite arrive on Friday and I stuck Suggsy's build on it and it works fine except the Vol+/Vol- and Esc buttons don't work (not much of a problem since ICS is designed not to require external buttons) and also the screen Auto Rotate doesn't work. The latter is a bit of an problem but I can live with it because, TBH having used CM9 on my mobile, the stock 4.0.3 build is not particularly good.

BTW I tries the CM9 build mentioned in another thread and that worked OK except the wifi didn't work. One other thing in case anyone is interested, Sky Go sort of works (Sky News does) if you use the skygo_test_1.5 build on XDA.

Try the 26 build of the CM9 previously mentioned - it fixes the wifi issue.

O no I was just about to order the Elite too! So does this mean future suggsy updates won't work with this? Also the fact the buttons don't work after the update is an inconvenience I'd rather not have.

Would you recommend I just get the extreme just so it is fully compatible with Suggsy's roms?
