I phoned the manufacturer and they gave me a fault number, but didn't seem surprised that it had failed. E-buyer arranged to pick the tablet up the next day and said a new one would be sent out to me within 2 to 3 days. 4 days later I rang to see where it was and they informed me they had only just received the return which would take 3 to 5 days to process at which point another would be sent out. At this point I was so cross I told them to cancel the order and give me a refund. Maybe I will be tempted to order another one when e-buyer have lost the sole rights, but I will never order anything from them again now. I hope Amazon start selling them, at least their customer service is good.
I agree, everything about Amazon is better, in particular, the returns policy and the returns procedure. I didn't even go down the replacement route. I don't mind going for a small brand and chancing it a bit but first experience out of the box counts and just because its cheaper than an ipad doesn't mean its ok for it to not do what it says on the tin. Note, I'm still not buying an ipad :O)
